I am originally from a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. I went to Bowling Green State University, in Bowling Green, Ohio, where I received a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, and was initiated in Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.
For the past 7 years, I've worked with small and medium-size businesses, helping them with anything from designing logos to making sure their business goals are met through clean, effective web sites. My work spans from print and web design to development and information architecture. I'm passionate about everything I do, and in the end, I take advantage of all my disciplines to create clear, concise, engaging communication.
I'm fascinated by usability, the efficient and balance of code and design, proper SEO techniques, and how all areas of design influence user experience.
I graduated in May 2011 from IIT, where I earned a Masters in Information Architecture. Currently, I work full-time as a User Experience Architect at a Chicago-based IT consulting firm where I scope, design, and develop mobile apps and web-based interfaces. In my spare time, I freelance, workout, fall down in yoga, and on the winter weekends, I snowboard when I can get away.
Luckily, I love what I do, and want to be involved with graphic, information, and experience design the rest of my life. At least, until, I save up enough money to buy an alpaca farm.
